Dawson turned six months old on April 6th. He has changed so much this past month and has hit many exciting milestones:
He still doesn’t have any teeth but he is chewing on ANYTHING he can put in his mouth. And, he is drooling constantly. My little boy loves to eat! He has been on solids for a few months. He mostly eats stages 2 and 3 but his favorite are Plum Organics pouches. Obviously he can’t feed himself, so we pour them into a bowl and then spoon feed it to him. He has solids 3 times a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Those are usually followed up with a 6 ounce bottle.
This past week Dawson started CRAWLING! Um, what?!?! He wasn’t really trying but when we moved last Wednesday he took off like a pro. I think it has to do with us having carpet at our new place versus hard wood floors at the old house. It has been so fun to sit him on the floor and watch how fast he can make it from one side of the room to the other.
He has been sitting without any assistance or boppy for about a month now. He hit another milestone just Saturday-my six month old is standing! Granted, he is holding onto things but “What the heck?” He started growing up overnight!
Dawson weighs roughly 20 pounds and is super long. We will know his exact measurements today because he is going to the doctor for shots this morning. He has outgrown all of his six month clothes and wears 6-9 months. He sleeps through the night although he wakes up super early. We are working on it but we do have a good routine going. We give him his last bottle around 10:30, he will fall asleep taking it in our arms and then we put him in his crib. He will sleep until 5ish. We will change his diaper and give him a bottle. Usually he’ll go back to sleep for another hour or so but sometimes he is ready for the day that early!
He is at a super fun stage right now. He keeps us smiling constantly. I absolutely love watching him interact with Connor. He definitely loves his big brother. I’m excited to see what the next month has in store for him!
