Friday Rambles

I’m so glad that it is Friday! I had a blast at the conference I attended yesterday. It was a day full of worship, learning, and meeting new friends. I am really looking forward to implementing some of the things I learned into my job. It was a great experience. We have a very busy weekend, but I’m looking forward to all of the things we have planned. Tonight Andrew is going to a concert with his friend while I am going to dinner, and spending time with one of my friends. Saturday morning Andrew is running in his first half marathon! That night we are having a Fall Festival at our church. I’m really looking forward to this. We went to Fall Festival this time last year, and have been going to our church every since. I can’t wait to spend time with all of the children, and hope to meet a lot of new families.

Sunday, I work and then my dad is coming to visit. He is bringing something super special, but I wont share it on here until Monday. Sorry to leave you in suspense! We have Bible study at our house later Sunday night, and then we will end the night by watching Walking Dead – do any of you watch this?

The weather has taken a major turn this week. It has been so cold – unusually so for October. However, I love it. We’ve had a fire going at night this whole week. The three of us have fallen asleep on the couch next to the fire several times this week. I have pulled out all of my sweaters, leggings, and boots. I am really loving leggings right now. I am in between jean sizes (mine are too loose but if I move down a size they are just a little too tight) so leggings are perfect for me.

Today I plan on doing major cleaning at the house. I love to have my house spotless on the weekends, I feel like it helps me have a productive following week. I also have two tutus to ship, orders are still coming in!

Did any of you watch Blackfish on CNN last night? To be honest with you, I’ve never really thought too much about animals in captivity. I’ve thought that animal trainers were brave, and I haven’t been shocked when animal attacks have been reported on the news. But, I watched the movie last night, and it really opened up my eyes. I won’t go into much detail about what I think, so as not to offend anyone, but I highly suggest you watch it. It was unreal.

Keep Andrew in your thoughts and prayers as he runs his first half tomorrow morning. I’m hoping that his IT Band doesn’t flare up, and that the pain from his wreck injuries are tolerable. I am praying that Fall Festival is a huge success as well.

What are your plans for the weekend? What are your thoughts on Blackfish?

What I Ate (yesterday):

Being at the conference yesterday wasn’t that good for my diet! My pictures weren’t that great so I’ll just tell you what I had to eat.

Chicken minis, hashbrowns and water from Chick-Fil-A

Hot chocolate from Starbucks. It was free & unlimited! I had two.

Chick-Fil-A sandwich, chocolate chip cookie, and water

Sirloin tips, baked potato and tea from Steak Out

It is pretty sad but worth watching. Andrew’s half went really well, thanks for the positive thoughts! His IT Band didn’t flare up until the last mile thankfully-he will have a recap up tomorrow!
