So if you read all of those recaps you know that we went to bed at 5 a.m. on Sunday October 6th. Magic Kingdom opened that morning at 9, and Andrew and I planned to get up to take Connor to rope drop. I woke up at 7, and I couldn’t go back to sleep. I got up, showered, and got dressed while all of the guys slept a little longer. We were out of the door at 9, just missing rope drop.
Connor wasn’t tall enough to ride Space Mountain the last time he went to Disney World so that was the first ride he wanted to ride. Andy went to get Fast Passes while Connor, my dad, and I grabbed breakfast. We ordered a few things from Starbucks, and Connor wanted a lollipop.
We found a table near Space Mountain, and had our breakfasts. Before getting on the ride Connor wanted to get his face painted.
Isn’t he precious?
Finally, it was time to get on Space Mountain!
When the ride was over Connor has his hands over his ears. He told me that it was too fast and to bumpy. You can tell he didn’t like it in the photo below:
Up next we went to New Fantasyland. Gaston’s Tavern was so well-themed. I thought it looked great.
We wanted to go to Be Our Guest for lunch, but the line was outrageous so we rode Splash Mountain first.
We went back to Be Our Guest, and the line was much shorter. I’ll post a review on it later, but let me tell you-it was amazing. The food, the theme, the service…it was wonderful!
Up next, we checked out the new Little Mermaid ride.
Then it was time to meet a couple Princesses:
Connor wouldn’t talk to them, he said he was too shy! We went to our favorite show next, Mickey’s Philharmagic.
By this time the park was starting to close for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. We were originally planning on going to this but later decided against it. Andrew and I had only slept for 2 hours after running 10 miles, and we were exhausted. Thankfully, we hadn’t already purchased our tickets. On our way out we stopped for a castle picture.
And then, it was time for a family tradition. When we leave Magic Kingdom at the end of a trip we always make our last stop the Confectionary. Connor will pick out a sweet treat, and I always get a chocolate covered marshmallow.
We got back to our room, showered, and went to Shutters for dinner. We will have a review up on that as well.
What I Ate (yesterday):
Andrew surprised me with a ham & cheese pastry, and tall hot chocolate with non-fat milk and whipped cream from Starbucks.
For lunch I had baked chicken (just baked in chicken stock & honey), and roasted red potatoes with a banana, and a bottle of water.
Zesty Italian baked chicken, roasted corn, and a small side salad.
My favorite yogurt!
